RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY OBJECTIVES:
Planning:
Work with drilling teams to design well trajectories, define workscope and coordinate tender process for related services. Drafting of geological well prognoses and well applications for submission to regulatory bodies.
Operations:
Primary communication link between geoscience team and field operations. requires daily liaison with wellsite goelogist, drilling manager and contractors. Remotely monitor drilling activities, providing geological expertis and suppor on well placement and data acquisiton. Responsible for the QC,distribution, archiving and real time interpretation of well data.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Geology or in technical discipline.
15 or more years of industry experience in particular, significant experience in the development of operations involving landing of horizontal wells and geosteering drain hole sections. Up to date knowledge on LWD Technology and familiarty with workstation-based well log correlation, seismic data and well trajectory planning. (Petrel ideally preferred).
Preferable candidates would have a beackground in Wellsite geology.
Knowledge of Petra or other geologic databases.
